Bundesdruckerei produces all German revenue stamps on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Finance and also supplies foreign finance authorities.
Revenue stamps include various features which ensure reliable protection against forgery and also serve as proof that the revenue on tobacco products has been duly paid. Revenue stamps are printed on special paper and can be found in various forms on cigar boxes, cigarette packs and tobacco tins.
