Bundesdruckerei GmbH supports violence prevention among youths
Under the motto of "Sports rather than violence", Bundesdruckerei presented its sponsored project in co-operation with the sports club of the Berlin police (PSV) at the Federal President's official summer party in Berlin in July 2007.

With another sports sponsorship - Bundesdruckerei is also the official security technology partner of the German Olympic team  - the company is determined to especially help children and youths in socially disadvantaged areas of the city of Berlin. The sports offering is expected to boost self-confidence and ambition among young people and to actively counter potential violence. Young talent is to be discovered and lastingly promoted.

Bundesdruckerei supports PSV in the form of direct aid and a kind of "finance fund".

The direct aid totals ?50,000 and is primarily earmarked for the sports building in Berlin Mitte which is used by the police sports club and which offers space for different disciplines on three floors. A professionally equipped boxing ring and a completely rehabilitated dance-hall for different kinds of activities will be provided here. New equipment and room installations will be provided for acrobats.

Furthermore, Bundesdruckerei's funds cover the annual membership fees for children and youths in need of financial support. Travel costs and start money for competitions are also paid in this way.

With its "Sport rather than violence" project, Bundesdruckerei is assuming social responsibility especially in Berlin as the place where it has been based for far more than 100 years.
