Bundesdruckerei GmbH Berlin is one of the world's leading companies engaged in developing and supplying systems solutions for secure identification. In addition to full-scale passport and ID card systems, the company provides national and international customers with ID documents, high-security cards, document verification hardware, security software along with trust center services. Bundesdruckerei also produces banknotes, postage and revenue stamps as well as electronic publications. With its subsidiaries BIS Bundesdruckerei International Services GmbH, D-TRUST GmbH, Maurer Electronics GmbH and iNCO Sp. z o.o., the Bundesdruckerei Group employs a staff of around 1,900 worldwide. The group generated revenue of EUR 350.6 million in the 2010 financial year.  

BIS Bundesdruckerei International Services GmbH
BIS GmbH is responsible for managing the planning, development and implementation of national and international projects in the field of security printing, also with a view to high-value security cards and systems. The company also supports and ensures the distribution of all products, software solutions and system components needed in this context.  

D-TRUST GmbH
On behalf of Bundesdruckerei, D-TRUST develops high-security products related to the electronic signature that are sold by Bundesdruckerei under the D-TRUST trademark in the field of Trusted Solutions to companies, authorities and private individuals. These products include signature and certification services as well as electronic notary services. The accredited trust center is operated in the high-security environment of Bundesdruckerei's facilities in Berlin.  

Maurer Electronics GmbH
Under the Maurer Electronics brand, Bundesdruckerei develops hardware and software for the entire ID system value chain. These products include components for the capture, encryption and secure transmission of personal data as well as devices that help border control and police officers, for instance, to efficiently and reliably check ID documents.

iNCO Spólka z o.o
Poland-based iNCO Sp. z o.o. was established in 1999 as a service provider for the capture of technical and scientific documents. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei GmbH. Together with Bundesdruckerei GmbH, the company specifically supports projects in the field of electronic publication systems.  

Shanghai MITE Speciality & Precision Printing Co. Ltd.
With Shanghai MITE Speciality & Precision Printing Co. Ltd., Bundesdruckerei, which holds 25% of this company, has been pursuing what has been a very successful joint venture with Shanghai Banknote Printing Plant since 2001.
